Support & FAQs

What file types can I import?
MP3, WAV, M4A, and AAC. Try Convertio.co if you need to convert to one of those.
How do I import an email attachment into MixPlay?

It varies a bit by OS, but in general:

  1. Make sure MixPlay app is already open.
  2. In iPhone/iPad's "Mail" app, tap the mp3 file (remember, it must end in ".mp3") to open Mail's preview of it.
  3. Tap the box-arrow "Export" button.
  4. From the list of apps, choose "MixPlay" (you might have to choose "More" first)
  5. MixPlay should open, and ask you if you want to create a new routine with it, or over-write an existing routine's music.
If it doesn't work, try it a second time.
How do I import music from iTunes?
You can import songs you purchased through iTunes (individually or by buying the album), but due to Apple's DRM rights, you cannot download and import songs from a streaming "Apple Music" subscription.

Here's here's how to import a purchased song from your iTunes Library into MixPlay:
  1. Open Apple's Music app and navigate to the desired song.
  2. Tap the "..." button to the right of the song.
  3. Choose "Make Available Offline / Download"
  4. Open the MixPlay app and choose Import from iTunes.
  5. Select the desired song.
How do I import from Dropbox?
2024 update: Dropbox's API has changed and won't work reliably, so best to use another import method. Sorry!
Is there an Android version?
No, but I'm hoping to make a web-based version that will work on all devices. Join the email list to stay posted on that.
I love MixPlay. How can I help?
For an "indie developer" like myself, spreading the word about an app is tough! You can help by leaving an App Store Review and sharing the MixPlayApp.com link on social media. Thanks!
What if I have a problem?
Email me at corey@mixplayapp.com and I'll help you out!
